I am responsible for what I say….I am not responsible for what you understand.
I fall into the category of people whose intentions are usually misunderstood. I used to hardly understand why my simple words or actions took a different turn with the energy and positivity that I put into it.
One day, I asked someone very knowledgeable about it and he said to me, people hear your words and react to it based on their own life experiences and perception.
Now i’m so used to being misunderstood.
As long as I do right by people, I am okay with God.
Being misunderstood is tricky, no one likes it. But for today, let go of the endless struggle to be understood and just be.
There’s freedom in getting to a place where you don’t need every judgemental half-wit to feel good about how you’re choosing to live your life.
If people don’t misunderstand you, you are not playing at your personal genius.
It’s a new week, I want you to have this at the back of your mind – ” THE MORE YOU UNDERSTAND, THE LESS YOU ARE UNDERSTOOD BY OTHER PEOPLE”
Just do it!
